Heirloom Textiles

We believe textiles carry memory and are passionate about capturing it in every piece. We love to create upholstery uniquely for you, using fabrics and materials that reflect your personal history – passed down, collected, or specially sourced to tell your story.

Our Heirloom Textile Process
Our Heirloom Textile Process

Our studio began with custom, hand-sewn patchwork upholstery crafted from fabrics meaningful to our clients’ histories. We create pieces made especially for you, working in one of two ways:

You provide the fabric.

Perhaps vintage napkins from your grandmother’s home or textiles collected on a journey. Once we receive your fabrics, we begin the layout process.

We source fabric for you.

We explore flea markets, scour online marketplaces, and seek out one-off textiles. Our favourites include vintage Japanese boro, Indian kanthas and Suzani blankets, though we welcome any direction. When sourcing, we share options and mock-ups to ensure the vision feels right.

After finalizing the fabric selection, we explore patchwork layouts. Collaboration is key here: we provide three to five options through simple renders and digital mockups, inviting your feedback and selection.

With layout approved, we prepare and sew the fabrics into patchwork. This is then passed to our trusted partners who transform the textiles into exquisite cushions, completing your personal Heirloom Textile.
