If a specified material becomes unavailable, discontinued, delayed, or commercially impractical to obtain, the Studio reserves the right to substitute comparable materials of similar quality, appearance, and function. The Studio will make reasonable efforts to consult with the Client regarding any significant substitutions. The Client acknowledges that all Studio products are handmade. Variations in wood grain, color, texture, figure, natural markings, finish appearance, dimensions, and other characteristics are inherent to handcrafted work and shall not be considered defects.
Delivery and shipping arrangements will be as specified in the order invoice or otherwise agreed upon in writing between the Studio and the Client. Unless expressly stated otherwise, all delivery dates are estimates only. The Studio shall not be liable for delays caused by third-party carriers, freight providers, weather conditions, supply chain disruptions, or other circumstances beyond its control. The Client is responsible for ensuring that the delivery location is accessible and suitable for receiving the order, including adequate access for vehicles, doorways, elevators, and installation conditions where applicable. Any additional costs incurred due to delivery complications, restricted access, delays at the delivery site, or failed delivery attempts may be charged to the Client. Storage fees may apply if the Client is unable to accept delivery within a reasonable timeframe after notification that the order is ready for shipment.
Risk of loss or damage to the products shall transfer to the Client upon the earliest of:
1. Delivery of the products to the Client or the Client’s designated agent; or
2. Transfer of the products to a third-party carrier for shipment, if the Studio is not responsible for final delivery or installation.
Once risk of loss has transferred, the Studio shall not be responsible for loss, theft, or damage to the products.
Upon receipt, please thoroughly inspect your shipment. If an item arrives damaged, you must notify us at hello@studiosamklemick.com within 5 business days of delivery. Your notification must include a description of the damage and clear photographs of both the item and its original packaging.
Failure to report damages within this 5-business-day timeframe will be considered an acceptance of the goods "as is," and no claims can be accepted thereafter. To ensure a swift resolution, please meticulously document all damages and retain all original packaging and contents for potential inspection.

Fabric Approval: A link or image with COM fabric details must be submitted to Studio Sam Klemick for approval. The link should include all relevant specifications, including roll width. For patterned fabrics, the client must confirm in writing if a specific orientation is required.
Patchwork Fabric: If the client chooses to use their own vintage fabric, it must first be approved by the studio. Once approved, we will create 3–5 patchwork options, with one round of revisions available if needed. The client is responsible for shipping the fabric to Studio Sam Klemick.
If Studio Sam Klemick is sourcing vintage fabrics, fabric options will be shared with the client for approval via a link or images, followed by 3–5 patchwork options. One round of revisions is included. In this case, no client shipping is required.
COM Performance: Clients are responsible for reviewing all specifications provided by the COM fabric manufacturer prior to selection. For commercial applications, a minimum Martindale rub count of 30,000 is recommended. Studio Sam Klemick is not responsible for the performance of COM fabrics. All selections and orders are made at the client’s discretion.
